COVID-19: Update from CEO

Genesis implements work from home plan for all locations

Genesis is committed to taking a proactive stance against the spread of COVID-19 and helping where we can to protect our health care system and the vulnerable in our communities. As a result, all Genesis spaces will be closed to the public, effective Tuesday, March 17th. All Genesis employees will be implementing our work from home plan over the next week and continue with our important work of helping to build amazing companies.

Clients have been asked to use the office space only if deemed necessary and will be highly encouraged to work from home. Genesis Coworking will temporarily halt outside boardroom/event bookings and use of Coworking for outside meetings.

All clients at both spaces will continue to have access to the facilities, but we are encouraging them to also work from home.

We will continue to provide updates on a regular basis on the status of our operations. In the meantime, we encourage you to follow the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador’s recommendations to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The recommendations can be found here - https://www.gov.nl.ca/covid-19/

Operating in the technology and entrepreneurial sectors, we have the unique opportunity to demonstrate leadership in social distancing and working remotely. We all have a role to play to help flatten the curve. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Best regards,

Michelle Simms,

President & CEO
