Memorial University’s Genesis Centre will host Atlantic Canada’s premier startup conference from Sept. 19-20.
Invest Atlantic brings together the entrepreneurial spirit of Atlantic Canada.
The conference, which begins on Tuesday, Sept. 19, at 8:30 a.m. at the Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland, has three main goals: collaboration, innovation and globalization.
Interactive speakers will coach entrepreneurs in pitching and building their business; connect angel investors with Atlantic Canadian startups; and encourage collaboration among attendees.Read More
On July 5, 2016, the Honourable Navdeep Singh Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science, and Economic Development (ISED), visited the Genesis incubator as part of a trip to the Atlantic Provinces to announce government funding in many different companies and industries. Along with Minister Bains, two Newfoundland MPs attended the visit, the Hon. Judy Foote, Minister of Public Services and Procurement, and MP Nick Whalen.
