Women in Tech Peer Group
The Genesis Centre’s Women in Tech (WIT) Peer Group is designed to boost the retention and advancement of women in the technology sector by supporting and encouraging women in the province to pursue careers in technology and seek leadership roles.
The goal of the WIT Peer Group is to explore challenges, share insights and discuss best practices to increase the number of women in the technology sector. The group is focused on peer learning, networking building and mentorship, and provides a confidential environment for women to discuss business challenges and successes.
Open to women in tech roles or those working for technology companies, the peer group meets monthly for educational and networking events. Some of the past sessions have included speakers from: Google, Other Ocean Interactive, Genoa Design and Pangeo Subsea.
Since its launch in 2015, the WIT Peer Group has flourished to over 100 members, a number which continues to grow each year. If you are interested in joining the Women In Tech Peer Group, please contact Dyanna McCarthy.
